Dear friends of photography,
we are still in Australia nearly 4 weeks now. We have started our tour in Darwin and arrived after a trip of more than 8000 km in Esperance, one of the most beautiful beaches in the South of Australia.
You will never be caught up in a traffic jam, but there are different challenges:
Our car was full of ants, not ordinary ants, but big green animals. A swarm of these creatures settled down in the engine and went through the air condition into the car.
What to do?
I couldn`t open the car`s door, otherwise they would have fallen on me. The inhabitants are confronted with situations like this more often. Thanks for your help!
We got rid of the ants by using spray and water pressure.
I have taken a lot of pictures during our journey. I back up the data on my notebook every evening and refine the photos as well.
I take the pictures in RAW, so I receive high quality pictures which I can refine in view of contrasts, white fader, saturation etc.
Corrections of diaphragm and crops can be made perfect as well.
I try to sort places of interest with pictures to create new ideas and to think about crops and the time of taking the photographs.
You can also recognize on postal cards when the pictures was taken.
In 2 months my first travelbook will be published, a fantastic illustrated-book for every friend of photography.
It will contain travel-photographs from all over the world of more than 20 years.The most beautiful countries and cities in a classy way, as well as in black and white and photos of my exhibitions.

We have still one week to travel through Australia, then we will return to Europe, where we have to keep many appointments, like shootings with Celebrities like Nina Ruge or Annette Dasch. Nelly and I are looking forward to these nice shootings.

seit fast 4 Wochen sind wir nun in Australien unterwegs. 8000 km haben wir nach unserem Start in Darwin schon zurück gelegt und sind nun hier an den schönsten Stränden im Süden Australiens, in Esperance,angekommen.
Man steckt hier zwar nie im Stau, aber es gibt dafür so manch andere Aufgabe:Als ich eines Morgens zu unserem Mietauto kam, war dieses voller Ameisen.
Das waren keine normalen Ameisen, sondern große grüne Tierchen. Wie sich auf den zweiten Blick herausstellte, hatte sich ein ganzer Schwarm von unzähligen Ameisen im Motor eingenistet, und durch die Lüftungen waren sie auch in den Innenraum gekrabbelt. Was tun? Ich konnte nicht einmal das Auto öffnen, da sie sonst auf mich gefallen wären, was mich nicht besonders froh gemacht hätte. Die Menschen hier sind mit solchen Situationen öfters konfrontiert und haben mir sofort geholfen. Wir konnten die Ameisen letztendlich mit Wasserdruck aussen und Spray innen entfernen. Thank you!
Natürlich habe ich in diesen 4 Wochen auch jede Menge Fotos gemacht. Ich sichere die Bilder jeden Abend im Laptop bzw. werden sie gleich verfeinert.
Ich fotografiere im RAW-Format, da ich damit einfach die höchste Qualität erzielen kann und auch feine Veränderungen z.B. Weissabgleich, Kontraste, Farbsättigung etc. vornehmen kann
Blendenkorrekturen oder Bildauschnitte werden ebenso perfektioniert. Ich versuche bereits im Vorfeld Sehenswürdigkeiten anhand von Bildern zu sichten, um neue Ideen zu kreieren und Überlegungen zum Bildausschnitt, Aufnahmezeitpunkt anzustellen. Selbst auf Ansichtskarten kann man z.B. erkennen, zu welchem Tageszeitpunkt fotografiert wurde.
In knapp 2 Monaten erscheint mein erstes Reisebuch, ein toller Bildband, den jeder Fotofreund haben sollte. Es werden Fotos aus ca. 20 Jahren Reisefotografie, aus aller Welt, gezeigt z.B.: die schönsten Länder und Städte, im klassischen Stil, aber auch kunstvoll in SW, sowie viele Fotos aus diversen Ausstellungen. Erhältlich wird dieser Bildband auch über meine Website sein.
Noch eine Woche reisen wir durch das schöne Australien, dann geht es wieder retour nach Europa, wo schon jede Menge Termine auf mich warten z.B. Fotoshootings mit Stars, wie Nina Ruge und Annette Dasch, worauf Nelly und ich uns sehr freuen.
