In Austria there is a dokumentation soap in which professional soccer player playing and trains together with celebrities. The TV series is very successful in Austria. It will be guided from the two best and international successful soccer player which we ever had. Hans Krankl, the topscorer at FC Barcelona and Herbert Prohaska who played at Inter Mailand and brought as national coach Austria to the world championship. The first idea of the ORF was, that I would also play soccer with the other celebrities. But because of a hernia inguinalis which need to be operated in June, this was not possible and I had no chance to play. So the producers had a new idea and asked me to produce a calendar with pictures from all players so all in all 24 celebrities. Normaly I become a lot of requests for calenderproductions or shootings. Much of them I refuse because of I dont like the projekt or if they want to produce the whole calendar in only one day because of the budget or when I am not able to create and show my art of photography. But at this project I needed to confirm immediately. It was an challenge to photograph 24 male celebrities in an artful sujet and that all in one day. Before the shooting I sketched two evenings the sujets so that I have an exactley picture about how the sujets should look like and how I would create them. It is just impossible to come to the set and then to start thinking about the sujets. On the one hand the pictures should have some kind of joke in it but the pictures should also tell a story on the other hand. So the picture language was very important for me. My sketches were a mix between inspirations from sports, culture and music. I used world famous pictures draw them in a new way and then create a new sujet. Also I experiment with the light so I needed at the shooting two assistents. Because of there were only mens Nelly did finished the make up very fast. The calendar will be sell on the two days with the deciding games and only some clients will get them. So who wants an exemplar need to contact the ORF directly. For us the shootingday started very early in the morning. Togehter with my team we drove to the location of the shooting in Stegersbach where the celebrities lived and trained for their important game with Germany. They did not know something about the production so they were very surprised to see me on the set, most of them I did know personally. A team of the ORF did took care about that always the player I needed for the sujet where on set. My assistens Igor and Domink had to build up 12 sets very fast, to reposition light and electricity and to get some accessories like pipes, chessboards, nebula and more. After 12 hours photography we had the pictures. This week on tuesday the whole workingday will be shown on ORF. I wish you all a lot of fun while watching it and enjoy the pictures.

In Österreich gibt es eine Dokusoap in welcher Profifußballspieler zusammen mit Prominenten spielen und mit ihnen gemeinsam trainieren.
Diese ist in Österreich sehr erfolgreich. Geleitet wird sie von unseren zwei besten und international erfolgreichsten Spielern die wir je hatten. Hans Krankl, der Torschützenkönig bei FC Barcelona war und Herbert Prohaska der bei Inter Mailand spielte und als österreichischer Bundestrainer Österreich zur Weltmeisterschaft brachte. Die ursprüngliche Idee des ORF war, dass ich selbst mitspielen sollte aber auf Grund meiner Verletzung, ein sehr nerviger Leistenbruch der im Juni operiert werden muss, konnte ich nicht selbst mitspielen. So hatten die Produzenten eine andere geniale Idee. Sie fragten mich an für die Produktion eines Kalenders mit allen Spielern, also insgesamt 24 Prominenten.
Im Normalfall bekomme ich natürlich viele Anfragen für Kalenderprojekte und Shootings. Viele lehne ich ab weil mir das Projekt selbst nicht gefällt, weil man, aus Budget Gründen, schnell alles an einem Tag fotografieren will oder ich nicht die Freiheit habe meine Art der Fotografie zu zeigen und umzusetzen. Bei diesem Projekt aber musste ich sofort zusagen. Es war eine Herausforderung, 24 männliche Prominente kunstvoll in Szene zu setzen und das alles an einem Tag. Vorab skizzierte ich ein, zwei Abende um auch ein genaues Bild von den Sujets zu haben die ich umsetzen wollte. Es ist einfach unmöglich ans Set zu kommen und sich erst dann alles zu überlegen. Zum einen wußte ich, dass es einen gewissen Witz haben sollte aber auch das eine Geschichte erzählt werden sollte.
Dementsprechend war die Bildsprache für mich hier sehr wichtig. Meine Skizzen waren eine Mischung mit Sujets inspiriert durch verschiedene Bereiche wie Sport, Kultur und Musik. Weltbekannte Sujets habe ich umgezeichnet und bearbeitet. Auch mit dem Licht wollte ich ein wenig experimentieren, daher brauchte ich bei dem Shooting auch zwei Assistenten mit. Da es sich um ausschließlich Männer handelte, war das Make up von Nelly schnell erledigt. Der Kalender wird exklusiv an den beiden Entscheidungsspielen verkauft und nur bestimmte Kunden bekommen diesen. Wer also ein Exemplar haben möchte, muss sich an den ORF wenden.
Für uns ging es sehr früh am Shootingtag los. Zusammen mit meinem Team sind wir zur Location nach Stegersbach gefahren, wo die Prominenten untergebracht wurde und bereits hart trainierten für ihr wichtiges Spiel gegen Deutschland. Sie selbst wußten nichts von der Produktion und waren überrascht als Sie mich am Set angetroffen haben, viele kannte ich schon persönlich. Ein Team des ORF kümmerte sich darum, dass ich immer die Spieler am Set hatte die für das Sujet vorgesehen waren.
Meine Assistenten Igor und Dominik mussten rasch 12 Sets auf und wieder abbauen, Licht und Strom umstellen und gewisse Accessoires wie Schläuche, Schachbretter, Nebel etc. besorgen. Nach 12 Stunden durchfotografieren waren die Fotos im Kasten. Diese Woche Dienstag wird der gesamte Arbeitstag im ORF gezeigt. Ich wünsche euch viel Spaß beim anschauen und viel Freude an den Fotos.
