Also in this year I supported the Miss Austria Cooperation with their search for the most beautiful woman in Austria. I had the honor to meet all 19 candidates two weeks before the election and to photograph them. In the late morning we started to drive to Kleinhaugsdorf nearby the czech borderline. We photographed in the Casino Route 65. With me I had my two assistants Matthias and Igor, my muse and beautiful wife Nelly and of course Jessy was also with us. With my new sponsored car the Chrysler 300c Touring it was no problem to get all equipment in it. Here I specially need to thank Thomas Pieczara from Chrysler Vienna 21. We came very accurated and needed to build up the set very fast. Barbara Reiherts and her team took care about the make up and the outfits and lingerie came from OTTO. All in all there were 18 candidates from 9 provinces and the Miss Online. In the interview they ask me if I have a favorite and what is the difference between an professional and an amateur model. If you are working since 20 years in this business you can see who has the potential for a professional model and who not. Next to the perfect body also confidence and charisma are very important criterias. So you can see very easerly who has the potential to be the next Miss Austria. But I need to disappoint you I will not name you the candidates who has the best chances in my opinion. This would be very unfair for the other participants and maybe they would have a worse start. We had three hours to photograph all 19 candidates and as you can see in the making of video it was not so easy. Also I could see where many girls did say in their interviews if they would think that they have the chance to win the election? And all of them answered that there were many more beautiful woman and that they dont belive to win this competition. To heare something it makes me very angry and shows me once again how the attitude of the austrians is. At the beauty competitions in america it is usual that everyone wants to win this contest and the other participants are the rivals. Where is the confidence, the ambition? This is also the theme which I criticized at Anna Hammel as she was part of the Miss Austria contest. In this way it is not possible to work as model professional. Of course they are newcomers and has not very expiriences in this job but a positive attitude and confidence is very neccessary to work successfully in this job. It is often the case that the negative attitude of a model is the reason why she can not start any international carreer. We worked with six different lightheads. Auch in diesem Jahr habe ich erneut die Miss Austria Cooperation bei Ihrer Suche nach der schönsten Frau Österreichs unterstützt. Ich hatte die Ehre alle 19 Kandidatinnen zwei Wochen vor der Wahl kennen zu lernen und zu fotografieren.
Am späteren Vormittag ging es los nach Kleinhaugsdorf an der Tschechischen Grenze, fotografiert haben wir im Casino Route 65. Mit dabei waren meine zwei Assistenten Matthias und Igor, meine Muse und Traumfrau Nelly und natürlich durfte auch Jessy nicht fehlen. Mit meinem neu gesponserten Dienstauto dem Chrysler 300C Touring hatten wir kein Problem das gesamte Equipment einzupacken.
Hierzu muss ich vor allem Thomas Pieczara von Chrysler Wien21 meinen Dank aussprechen. Pünktlich angekommen ging es darum, dass Set rasch aufzubauen. Um das Styling kümmerte sich Barbara Reiherts Team. Outfits und Unterwäsche wurden vom OTTO Versand zur Verfügung gestellt.
Mit dabei waren 18 Kandidatinnen aus 9 Bundesländern sowie der Miss Online. Im Interview fragte man mich ob ich schon meine Favoriten habe und was der Unterschied zwischen Profi- und Amateurmodels ist. Wenn man natürlich bereits seit 20 Jahren in dem Business arbeitet kann man recht schnell sagen wer das Zeug zum Profimodel hat und wer nicht.
Neben den Maßen sind hier Ausstrahlung und Selbstvertrauen ganz wichtige Kriterien. So kann man einfach sehen wer hier das Zeug zur Miss Austria hat und wer nicht. Ich muss Euch aber enttäuschen ich werde vor der Wahl keine Namen nennen wer das Zeug hat bzw. welche vier es haben! Dies wäre den anderen gegenüber einfach unfair und würde Ihnen vielleicht einen schlechteren Start verschaffen. Drei Stunden hatten wir Zeit 19 Kandidatinnen ins rechte Licht zu rücken.
Und wie ihr an unserem Making of Video sehen könnt war dies nicht unbedingt eine leichte Aufgabe. Auch konnte ich beobachten das viele Mädchen in Ihren Interviews gefragt wurden ob Sie denken, dass Sie das Zeug zur Miss Austria haben und alle sagten dass es schönere Frauen als Sie gab und Sie nicht glauben, dass Sie gewinnen werden. So etwas zu hören ärgert mich sehr und zeigt mir Mal wieder wie die Einstellung der meisten Österreicher ist. In Amerika bei den verschiedensten Wettbewerben will jeder gewinnen und die Konkurrenten sind keine Freunde sondern Gegner.
Wo ist der Biss, der Ehrgeiz und das Selbstvertrauen? Dies habe ich auch schon bei Anna Hammel kritisiert als Sie zur Miss Austria Wahl ging.
So kann man als Model einfach nicht erfolgreich arbeiten. Natürlich sind das junge Anfänger und Models die noch nicht viel Erfahrung haben. Aber eine gewisse positive Grundeinstellung und Selbstvertrauen ist unbedingt notwendig um erfolgreich in diesem Beruf arbeiten zu können.
Denn man kann das leicht unterschätzen wieviel der negativen Einstellung transportiert wird und wie schnell einen das die Karriere kosten kann. Wir haben im Casino mit sechs verschiedenen Lichtquellen gearbeitet. Die Posings für die 19 Kandidatinnen habe ich mir zuvor im Kopf zurecht gelegt.
