As my agent Sonja Kuba told me that we will have a shooting with Kathleen Turner, I was very glad and interested. It is really something special to meet such a big star and to photograph her. The photographies will be used for my new book and Kathleen Turners reproduction on the Broadway of "Whos afraid of Viginia Woolf". The timing was perfect. Kathleen played in many hollywoodmovies and in these very often on the side of hollywoodstars. So she played for example with Steve Martin in "The man with the two brains", with Michael Douglas in the Indiana Jones-parody "Romancing the Stone" or in Ken Russells "Crimes of Passion". In one of John Hustons last films "Prizzies Honor" she playd on the side of Jack Nicholson and togehter with Danny DeVito and Michael Douglas she stand for the movie "The war of the roses" in front of the camera. In Francis Ford Coppolas "Peggy Sue got married" her partner was Nicholas Cage and at last you could see her in "Marley & me" with Jennifer Aniston. Nelly Baumann took care about the perfect make up and styling of the hollywoodstar. At this shooting I places the light very soft and direct on her. For this I used about four lights. Also I put even more light on her with headlights. As you can see we had a lot of fun at the set. The shooting itself found place in New York. The studio was for me and Nelly very romantic because of the view from the studio was on the Empire State Building where Nelly and I became 8 years ago enganged. Together with Nelly I am since almost 15 years a successful team. Kathleen was very uncomplicated and full of enjoyment to work with us. In october this year we will present my best work in the Air Gallery in the city of London nearby the Piccadilly Circus. Because of Kathleen will be at this time in London to play on stage, we will keep the contact and maybe she will come to my vernissage. In this week we will drive to Las Vegas where we will photograph one more sujet for my calendar 2011. And always think about: "Create your own style which will be your signature four your pictures" :)

Als mir meine Agentin Sonja Kuba mitteilte, dass wir ein Shooting mit Kathleen Turner haben werden, war mein Interesse und meine Freude daran so groß wie es selten der Fall ist. Es ist etwas wirklich besonderes einen so großen Star kennen zu lernen und zu fotografieren. Die Fotografien werden für mein neues Buch sowie für Kathleen Turners Wiederaufführung von "Wer hat Angst vor Virginia Woolf" am Broadway verwendet.
Das Timing war einfach perfekt. Kathleen spielte in zahlreichen Hollywoodfilmen mit und dabei nicht selten an der Seite etlicher Hollywoodstars. Wie z.B. mit Steve Martin in "Der Mann mit zwei Gehirnen", Michael Douglas in der Indiana Jones-Parodie "Auf der Jagd nach dem grünen Diamanten" oder Ken Russells "China Blue bei Tag und Nacht". In John Hustons vorletztem Film "Die Ehre der Prizzis" spielte sie an der Seite von Jack Nicholson und zusammen mit Danny DeVito und Michael Douglas stand Sie für den Film "Der Rosenkrieg" vor der Kamera.
In Francis Ford Coppolas "Peggy Sue hat geheiratet" war ihr Partner Nicholas Cage und zuletzt war Sie in "Marley & Ich" neben Jennifer Aniston zu sehen.
Nelly Baumann sorgte für das perfekte Make up und Styling bei dem Hollywoodstar.
Das Licht habe ich bei diesem Shooting weich und direkt gesetzt, dabei kam ich am Set mit vier Lichtern problemlos aus.
Dazu habe ich noch mit einigen Aufblendfolien für mehr Licht gesorgt. Wie man sieht hatten wir auch sehr viel Spaß am Set. Das Shooting selbst fand in New York statt. Das Studio hatte für mich und Nelly einen romantischen Touch, da man in diesem die Aussicht auf das Empire State Building hatte, wo wir uns vor über 8 Jahren verlobt haben.
Gemeinsam sind Nelly und ich nun schon seit 15 Jahren ein erfolgreiches Team. Kathleen war so unkompliziert und voller Freude mit uns zu arbeiten. Im Oktober diesen Jahres werden meine besten Werke in der Air Gallery in der Londoner Innenstadt nahe des Piccadilly Circus präsentiert werden.
Da Kathleen zu diesem Zeitpunkt in London spielen wird, bleiben wir in Kontakt und vielleicht wird Sie bei meiner Vernissage dabei sein. In dieser Woche geht es nach Las Vegas wo ich ein weiteres Sujet für meinen Kalender für 2011 fotografieren möchte.
