Some days ago I searched for pictures 20 years ago of a good old friend of mine from my beginning as a photographer and I realized how fast the time goes by. Robert Amstler who lives also now over 10 years in Los Angeles, was one of my first male models. And whenever we come to LA we meet him or make a photoshooting. At our last visit he introduced me the model and actress Simona Fusco. You can see Simona on 50 covers as a model. Also she makes some advertising for BMW, Ferrari, Coca-Cola and also for a lot other companys. She played in a lot of hollywoodproductions like "The Pool Boys", "Mental" "Roles of Engagement" and "A Beautiful Delusion". Brand new you can see Simona this summer in the comedy movie "AMERICAN SUMMER" from Tom Arnold the producer of "American Pie". We photographed Simona in the Hollywood Hills, where we also talked a few days before about which kind of photos we would like to make. Simona, who grew up like me in Vienna, is a very strong personality and we liked eachother from the first moment. Also on the day before the shooting we had a lot of fun. At the day of the shooting itself we tried some different adjustments. We would like to work on the pool but the weather was not on our side on this day. Nelly made the make up and styling, instead my assistant Roman did build the set. On the one hand we worked with diffuse light and with only lightners near the entrance and the windows. At the other hand we photographed with a cone of light to get a romantic light. the pictures on the couch we photographed with softboxes and highlights. At the end we also made a picture together with Robert, which was at my last exhibition one of the favorite photos! We are look forward to meet Simona in LA again for a photoshooting.

Erst letzthin, als ich für einen Freund Fotos von Ihm von vor 20 Jahren aus meiner Anfangszeit als Fotograf raus gesucht habe, wurde mir Mal wieder bewußt, wie schnell die Zeit vergeht.
Robert Amstler der mittlerweile auch schon über 10 Jahren in Los Angeles lebt, war eines meiner ersten männlichen Models.
Und immer wenn wir in LA sind treffen wir uns oder fotografieren mit ihm zusammen.
Bei unserem letzten Besuch hat er mich auch mit Simona FuscoModel und Schauspielerin bekannt gemacht. Simona war auf über 50 Titelblättern als Model zu sehen. Auch macht sie als Model Werbung für BMW, Ferrari, Coca-Cola wie auch für andere Unternehmen. Sie wirkte in vielen Hollywoodproduktionen wie "The Pool Boys", "Mental" "Roles of Engagement" und "A Beautiful Delusion" mit.
Ganz neu startet mit Simona im Sommer die Komödie "AMERICAN SUMMER" von Tom Arnold dem Produzenten von "AMERICAN PIE".
Fotografiert haben wir Simona in den Hollywood Hills, wo wir auch bereits einige Tagen davor besprochen hatten welche Art von Fotos wir produzieren wollen.
Simona die wie ich in Wien aufwuchs ist eine starke Persönlichkeit und wir haben uns auf Anhieb gut verstanden, auch am Tag vor dem Shooting hatten wir eine Menge Spaß. Am Tag des Shootings selbst haben wir einige Einstellungen ausprobiert. Gerne wollten wir auch am Pool arbeiten leider spielte das Wetter an diesem Tag nicht mit. Nelly machte das Make up und Styling, während sich mein Assistent Roman um den Aufbau des Sets kümmerte. Einerseits haben wir das diffuse Licht ausgenützt und nur mit Aufhellern nahe dem Eingang und der Fenster gearbeitet.
Andererseits haben wir mit einem Lichtkegel fotografiert um so ein romantisches Licht zu erzeugen.
Die Fotos auf der Couch haben wir mit Softboxen und Spitzlichtern fotografiert.
Am Schluß haben wir noch ein Bild zusammen mit Robert gemacht, welches bei meiner letzten Ausstellung ein beliebtes Motiv war!
Wir freuen uns auf ein Wiedersehen und ein neues Fotoshooting mit Simona in LA.
